The Board of Commissioners of the City of Anthony, Kansas met in special session at 3:00 p.m. with Mayor Barbara Muse presiding and the following Commissioners present: Hall, Tedder, Hammersmith and Dickey. Absent: None. Also present were Angie Hartman, Assistant City Clerk, Don Heidrick, City Clerk/Administrator; Grant K. Sechler, Jr., City Superintendent; Greg Wilson of Twenty First Century, Steve Wilkinson, Larry Berry and Donna Crowe.

SWIMMING POOL DIVING BOARD

Donna Crowe and Grant Sechler discussed the need for a new diving board. A thicker layer of cement for the base will be needed. Would like it done during the other pool improvements. Commissioner Hall made the motion to purchase from United Industries a new pool diving board for $7,609.00. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Dickey. Motion carried.

GREG WILSON – UPDATE ON POWER SUPPLY

Greg Wilson of Twenty First Century presented the update and recommended power supply options. He recommended signing a contract with Western Farmers Electric Cooperative. He also said the City needs to keep up with the developing power supply options. Commissioner Dickey made the motion for Larry Berry, Steve Wilkinson, Commissioner Hall and City Superintendent, Grant Sechler to get the needed transformer ordered. Commissioner Tedder seconded the motion. Motion carried.

WESTERN FARMERS CONTRACT

Commissioner Hall made the motion to sign the contract with Western Farmers Electric Cooperative. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Dickey. Motion carried.

Mayor Muse made the motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Tedder. Motion carried.
