The Board of Commissioners of the City of Anthony, Kansas met in special session at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Howard Hatfield presiding and the following Commissioners present: Hekel, Dickey, Hammersmith and Williams. Absent: None. Also present were Don Heidrick, City Clerk/Administrator; Grant K. Sechler, Jr., City Superintendent; Kenny Hodson, Deputy Chief of Police and Kirk Kimble.

EMPLOYEE HEALTH, DENTAL & LIFE INSURANCE

Kirk Kimble of Group Benefit Specialists presented an Insurance Program for Employee Health and Dental Insurance. It included a Health Reimbursement Arrangement. Higher deductibles could be offset with payment by the City to reimburse to lower the deductible to amounts the same as the current insurance plan. After discussion, it was the Commissioners consensus for the plan with options of $1,000, $1,500 and $2,500 deductibles with City paying down the deductible. Further information on administration costs for the program will be researched.

Commissioner Williams made the motion that the City Commission meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Hammersmith. Motion carried.
