XI ZETA SORORITY PLAYGROUND PROJECT AT THE ANTHONY LAKE

Dear Harper County Community Member, 

Hopefully, by now, you’ve heard about the new park that will be built at the Anthony Lake. The plans are in the works and the permission has been granted. Now is the time to show your support. 

The Xi Zeta sorority of Anthony has been diligently working to create the opportunity for our Harper County cities to fund a Super park at the main area at the Anthony City Lake.  (Click here to see the future site of the park.) The park system will be approximately 30 x 40 feet and will include all of the bells and whistles that our kids want! We have contacted a certified and experienced park planner that will aid us in our design efforts. The Harper County Commissioners, the Anthony City Commissioners,  the Anthony Lake Board, and the Anthony Community Foundation have all given their enthusiastic approval for this project.

We’re ready to engage the citizens in all of Harper County in a journey to donate funds and show their support for the addition of this facility. We’re inviting you, a community leader, to join us. 

There are several ways to get involved.

• All levels of monetary donations will be gratefully accepted. There are different levels of recognition we would like to provide for higher amounts.
  • A large sign will be prominently placed at the site to recognize Sponsors (donations of $2000 and more), Contributors (donations of $1000 - $1999), and Donors (donations of $500 - $999).
    • Sponsors will have a logo or name displayed at the top of the sign in the largest size
    • Contributors will have a logo or name displayed below the Sponsors in a smaller size
    • Donors names will be listed under the Contributors
• Sponsors will be listed on all of Project Park’s communications and advertisements
• A listing of all Sponsors, Contributors and Donors will be displayed in Harper County newspapers
• Donations may be placed in Honor or Memory of an individual
• The Name of the Park is up for bid!
  • Bids over $3000 will be accepted until December 15, 2006.
  • Contact Lori Jensen at the information listed below to place your bid.
  • Bidders will be contacted when higher bids have been placed.
  • The park name will be displayed prominently on the signage at the park and on lake roads.

All donations will be deposited in an Anthony Community Foundation account. Donations are tax deductible and receipts for donations to the park will be sent to you from the Anthony Community Foundation treasurer. 

We sincerely hope to see this park in place by summer of 2007. We can’t proceed without your help.
